A CEO’s Return to Her Roots
After years of global mission work, our CEO Sofonie Dala returned to Angola in 2025. Her visit marks the 5th anniversary of the Africa Educates Her campaign and the 5th anniversary of Talentos Multiplus, both celebrated milestones of resilience, vision, and dedication.
Stories of Women Who Defy Poverty
Though poverty speaks louder in many households, women like Madam Henriquetta and Madam Doroteia prove that ingenuity and courage can rewrite destinies.
Henriquetta: The Tomato Queen of the Streets
Henriquetta’s story is a masterclass in grassroots entrepreneurship. She buys fresh vegetables and tomatoes from small farmers, resells quickly, and has developed a loyal client base ranging from restaurants to neighbors. Customers even pay her in advance, securing her capital flow.
Doroteia: From Hungry Nights to a Thriving Kitchen
Doroteia’s strategy is simple yet powerful: feed the hungry, and they will keep coming back. Her indoor restaurant thrives without advertising—hunger is her marketing strategy.
Beyond her kitchen, she is a backyard poultry innovator, raising both chickens and quails. Her quail eggs, especially sought after during Easter, are a symbol of nutrition and tradition beautifully fused with enterprise.
The CEO Who Eats with the People
Sofonie doesn’t just observe—she immerses herself in the community. She tasted:
- Mufete with grilled fish, sweet potatoes, plantain, palm oil beans and cassava flour (Sunday)
- Cassava flour pap, black beans, and fried chicken (Monday)
- Rice, beans, fried fish, and kissangua (Tuesday)
- Cassava, plantain, and peanuts (Wednesday)
- Grilled chicken (Thursday)
- Traditional food with kissangua (Friday)
Through food, she connects with the daily rhythm of her people.
Conclusion
Five Years of Change, Five Decades of Potential
This journey is not just about celebrating anniversaries—it is about laying bricks for the future.
- We see SDG 1 (No Poverty) in every woman who turns scarcity into opportunity.
- We see SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) in every meal Doroteia serves.
- We see SDG 5 (Gender Equality) in women who break free from dependency.
- We see SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) in backyard poultry farms and street vending stalls.
- We see SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) in communities that buy and sell locally, reducing waste and fostering circular economies.
The next five years will not just be about survival—it will be about scaling this model of resilience into a continental revolution.
✨ Talentos Multiplus is not just building a startup; we are rewriting Africa’s success story, one woman, one meal, and one egg at a time.
